Singer

Amick sang the role of Moses in the animated feature film, The Prince of Egypt. He has also sung on hundreds of other feature films including: Wonder Woman, La La Land, Spiderman: No Way Home,  Deadpool 2, Knives Out, Jurassic World, X-Men, Rogue One: Star Wars, Night at the Museum 1,2, and 3, War for the Planet of the Apes, Thor, Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Guardians of the Galaxy, I Robot, Batman Returns, Shrek, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Hercules, Mulan, El Dorado, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, A Bug’s Life, Ice Age, Strange World, Newsies, The Santa Clause, 3 Star Trek movies, A Million Ways to Die in the West, 3 Matrix movies, The Greatest Game Ever Played, Marley and Me, Jingle All the Way, Hearthstone video game, and many others. You have also heard his singing voice on literally hundreds of episodes of The Simpsons, The Family Guy, American Dad, and on several Broadway cast albums including Civil War, Jekyll and Hyde, and Sunset Boulevard. He also sings the role of Artur on the animated series Big Nate from Nickelodeon.

Amick is a two-time Grammy Award nominee as well as the soloist for the opening of the Golden Globe Awards.  His solo vocal performance of “Christmas Time is Killing Us” as Santa Claus was nominated for an Emmy Award for best song and Amick is the singing voice of David in West Bank Story, which won the Academy Award for best short live action film.

Original solo projects include Encounter, a theatrical recording where each cut represents a man from the Bible who experiences a turning point encounter with God.

Actor

On the stage, Amick has starred in many professional productions including Phantom of the Opera, (Broadway and LA), Les Miserables in the roles of Marius and Enjolras, and Sunset Boulevard as Joe Gillis playing opposite Glenn Close as Norma Desmond.  He has also starred in several professional Equity plays from Shakespeare to Neil Simon.

On television and film, Amick has guest starred on prime-time shows from Frasier to Friends and was a series regular for three years on Superior Court playing attorney Darrell Guillary.  Trekkies know him as Ian Troi, Counselor Troi’s father on Star Trek: The Next Generation.  Fun fact:  there are three official published Star Trek trading cards featuring Amick and his character.

Voice Over Artist

As a voice-over artist, Amick has voiced national commercials, narration, and animation. Commercials include American Express, Mercedes-Benz, Pizza Hut, and Chili’s just to name a few. In animation, he voiced the role of Fred in A Christmas Carol starring Michael York as Scrooge as well as The Alphabets, Pirates, Fidelio, Rugrats, and others.  Amick has narrated several documentaries, dramatic recordings, and in-house promotional films for corporate clients.

Producer and Director

Amick was a producer of Radio Gals at the John Houseman Theater on 42nd Street in NYC and has directed 5 world premiere musicals on stage with budgets from 500K to 8MM.  Other director credits of musicals: Les Miserables, Brigadoon, Into the Woods, and The Secret Garden. Plays include:  The Foreigner, The Hasty Heart, It’s a Wonderful Life and others that have all been critically acclaimed by the press for their direction.   Amick is an alumnus of the prestigious Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab, and is the Founding Producing Director of the American Coast Theater Company.

Amick has produced and directed entertainment for Fortune 500 companies both in the U.S. and internationally and was the executive producer and director of the 60th Anniversary of the Nation of Israel celebration in Los Angeles CA at the Forum.  He produced the radio advertising campaign You’ll Never be the Same in multiple languages for the Israel Ministry of Tourism which aired internationally for 3 years.

Amick produced, cast, and directed 10 audio recordings of original plays and also produced, cast, and directed the very first audio recording of the complete Bible voiced entirely by women.

Amick is married to Cassie Byram and they have two boys, Jonathan and Benjamin. He enjoys museums, spending time in the outdoors hiking, and is an avid reader and student of history.
